    How Grant Funds Can Be Used

    Selected recipients receive $1,000 to help cover business expenses, bring ideas to life, and take their next step toward growth.

    Use the grant for:

    Coaching, training programs, and skill development courses.

    Does it cost anything to apply?
    There is no application fee. Applying for the Business Freedom Grant is completely free.
    Who can apply?
    The Business Freedom Grant is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and existing small business owners who are serious about starting, building, or growing a business.

    Applicants should have:

    • A clear business idea with an actionable plan.
    • A business in any industry, including product-based, service-based, or digital businesses.
    • The commitment to complete a brief application sharing their vision.

    You may apply whether your business is already operating or is still in the idea or planning stage, as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.

    When is the grant deadline?
    Applications are reviewed in phases throughout the grant period.

    📅 Early deadline: September 30th, 2026
    📅 Second deadline: November 15th, 2026
    📅 Final deadline: December 31st, 2026 at 11:59 PM EDT

    Applications submitted during earlier review periods that are not selected may remain eligible for consideration during the final judging period.

    When will the winner be announced?
    The Business Freedom Grant winner will be announced live on January 15th, 2027 at 12:00 PM EST on Coach Darcy's YouTube Channel .

    Finalists will receive an email with any required next steps before the winner announcement.
    How are applications evaluated?
    Grant applications are scored using a 10-point evaluation system:

    • Clarity of business idea — 3 points
    • Feasibility of the plan — 3 points
    • Impact of the grant — 2 points
    • Passion and commitment — 2 points

    Bonus Points (+2): Grant applicants who join GrantHouse before the applicable deadline receive 2 points added to their application score.

    Applications are reviewed in phases to give judges time to evaluate submissions.

    Can I edit my application after submitting it?
    No. Once an application has been submitted, it cannot be changed or amended.

    Can I submit more than one application?
    No. Only one application is permitted per applicant. If more than one application is submitted, the first application received will be treated as the applicant's official entry.

    Do I need to have an established business to apply?
    No. You can apply with a business idea that you are preparing to launch.

    Applicants in the idea or pre-launch stage are welcome to apply, as long as they meet the program's eligibility requirements and clearly explain the business they intend to start or grow.

    Do I need a business bank account to qualify?
    No. A business bank account is not required to qualify for the Business Freedom Grant and does not affect your application score.

    However, if you are building a business with the intent to generate income, we strongly recommend using a dedicated business bank account to help keep your business and personal finances separate, organized, and easier to manage.
